Thank you for taking time to check out my blog.
My name is Abbie and I'm nearly 30 (eek!) from the south of England and I LOVE chick lit books. Some are against the term 'Chick Lit' but to me it's just a name and to me doesn't diminish all the wonderful books out there.
I decided to start this blog site as I have such a love for Chick Lit and Romance Novels, and I thought it would be a great way to indulge in my passion.
I have been a lover of books from as soon as I could read and have a modest collection of Chick Lit books that is ever expanding! Being able to escape into a world of love, life and laughs is so wonderful. I also enjoy reading about characters I can relate to and imagine being. And I love a happy ever after!
The first author that hooked me into Chick Lit books is Marian Keyes. I love her frank and honest characters, that tend to deal with some heavy subjects, but they always work they way back to happiness. And since then I have moved onto many authors.
Picking up a book and being hooked from the off and not being able to put it down until the end (and finding an excuse to read it, be it on the bus, on a rainy afternoon or in the bath, whilst trying to keep dry may I add!) is something I really love, complete with a cuppa tea and I'm in bliss!
Everyone says they have a book inside them, and I will be honest, I have tried to write books in the past but in the end get so far and lose motivation to complete it. That's not to say that I won't ever try to complete one, but for now I'll leave it to the experts!
