Author of the Month

Cecelia Ahearn
As it's the month of love, with St Valentines day on February 14th. What better way to mark it, then with a good old love story.

This month's author of choice is Irish author Cecelia Ahearn.

Cecelia was born on 30th September 1981, to former Irish Prime Minister, Bertie Ahearn. Interestingly Georgina's sister is married to Westlife member, Nicky Byrne.

In 2002, Cecelia wrote her first novel, P.S. I love you, which was published in 2004 and became an Irish best seller. It was later adapted as an motion picture and immortalised on the big screen.

Since her debut novel, she has released the following novels...

Where Rainbows End

If  you could see me now

A place called here

Thanks for the memories

Book of tomorrow

Girl in the mirror

The time of my life

One hundred names

and How to fall in love

I have just finished How to fall in love, and I read it within 24 hours. The story has dark moments, dealing with the topic of suicide. But the thread of love and hope is woven throughout.
The main character is Christine Rose and lives her life by the aide of self help books, but she soon learns that the help she needs is not always in the form of a book.

I really enjoyed this latest offering from Cecelia and was gripped, so much I struggled to put it down until I had finished it.

You can find all of Cecelia's books here Cecelia Ahearn

Let me know what you think. Have you read any of Cecelia's books? What is your favourite and why?
